HISTORY

The NCO School has existed since 1 July 2004.

.

Under the ordinance of the Minister of National Defense of 6 August 2010 on non-government schools, on the basis of non-military schools from Poznan, Toruń, Zegrze and Wroclaw, the Polish Army Noncommissioned School, based in Poznań, was established. The School has been operateing since 1 January 2011. By the order No. Z-8 / ORG of Commander of the Land Forces Training Center in Poznan dated 20 December 2010 on confering the status for the Polish Army Non-commissioned School in Poznan – the status had been confered.

The fundamental tasks of the School include the training of NCO candidates for the knowledge and skills and the instructor qualifications required to fill the post of corporal, the preparation of a military specialist with the expertise and instructor skills necessary to lead the soldiers at the team level, Prior to their appointment to further military degrees and the training of candidates for non-commissioned officers in the preparatory service.

HERITAGE OF TRADITION

Under the Decision No. 212 of the Minister of National Defense from 9 June 2011 - to preserve in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland the regimental traditions of the 14th Wielkopolska Division of the Polish Non-commissioned Schools - the Polish Army Non-commissioned School:

  • inherited and honors her legacy of the tradition of regimental 14th Wielkopolska Division of the Polish Non-commissioned Infantry
  • took the banner, memorial badge, graduation badge, distinctive sign and pennant on the beret of the dismantled Wielkopolska Military Academy of Polish Forces names of brig gen. Franciszek Seweryn Wład; School adopted the name of brig gen. Franciszek Seweryn Wład
  • adopted the distinguished name "Wielkopolska"

This decision also established the annual festival of the Wielkopolska NCOs. names of Brig gen. Franciszek Seweryn Wład on July 1.
